The animal agriculture industry is also looked down upon by climate scientists due to its emissions, setting aside the cruel conditions in there. So if you’re going to make a choice between reducing carbon emissions by drastically lessening meat consumption if not cutting it out entirely or ignoring that and contributing to global warming- which is also something that assaults animals- pick one that doesn’t affect animals on a worldwide scale if you care about animal abuse so much.
