On this day in 2009, Polamalu picks off Kerry Collins with an incredible one-handed grab.

This was the most difficult game I ever went to, my dad, who raised me right as a Steelers fan, had died a month earlier. Nine months earlier, the last game we ever went to was the AFC title game against Baltimore, where Troy had that legendary pick-six to secure the path to the SB. The last game we ever watched together was that Super Bowl against the Cardinals. Six months later we watched the Penguins win the Cup from his hospital room, and a month later he was gone.

So I went to this game and kept the seat next to me open for Dad. It seemed like the thing to do. But I still remember this play, and if memory serves, Troy hurt himself in this game and didn't play much the rest of that season.

I miss you, Dad.
