I am okay with production committees making money from anime, but I don't NEED to personally support THEM with donations. I never stated that committees shouldn't be paid, read my comment and you will see i never said that. Now let me boil some facts down for you. In Japan the money made off of an anime basically goes mostly into the pockets of the studios and committees which is cool and all, but you need to also realize something. Without the actual animators, THERE WOULD BE NO DAMN SHOW. In Japan animator's make literally next to nothing while the studios are getting the big bucks from the sales. What I want is for these animators who are literally STARVING in Japan to actually get some damn money. Also your analogy doesn't work in this scenario. The main difference in here is that over in America, for example, actors who star in movies are paid what they deserve if not more than they deserve because that's just how it works in that country. There is no need to donate to actors or the director because they are already making a shit ton of cash off of doing there part in the movie. However, in Japan, that is not the same. The animators don't get what they deserve. I don't need to donate to actors because they are already rolling in cash because of how America and other countries pay them. I donate to animators because in Japan they get literally nothing while the studio gets all of the money.
