On my Facebook memories, 3 years ago today, met 'Xander'. He made a joke about Dark Willow and gave a great hug, but you could see the sadness in his eyes. Me and my mom talked about his struggles, and are saddened by his recent arrest. Hope he can eventually get the help he needs ❤️

And no matter how long you’re sober, you’ll never know if it will eventually snap back and get you in the end.

Look at Philip Seymour Hoffman and Carrie Fisher. Sober for years, then the right pressures and circumstances hit. That’s all it took. It’s a hard road. So it’s difficult for me to get judgmental about Nick. I don’t know his road. And I don’t know how (or why) his addiction presents. None of us do.

We know that he’s committed multiple criminal acts, including assault, while under the influence.

Those are the only facts we’ll ever know for sure. He could have the best excuse in the universe and it still wouldn’t change the facts. And the facts are pretty shitty. But like I said, I’ve seen what substance abuse and trauma can do to people. Good people. It’s hard for me not to feel some empathy.

Let him deal with his legal affairs, then hopefully get better. But recent pictures of him (especially next to his healthy twin) don’t make it seem like he’s at his best.
