'On par with London and Paris': Treasurer wants a minister for Sydney

I think it's doable - a lot of people don't but I'm an optimist. City of Sydney is pushing for 24hr trains on Fridays and Saturdays in the parliamentary enquiry into the effects of the lockout laws. CoS and Inner West Council are also looking into making noise complaints against entertainment establishments have less teeth. This is on top of CoS wanting to scrap the lockout laws.

Do these things and remove the restrictions on live music that applies to ~600 venues and you'll have a pretty dramatic effect. The money made from late night activity will easily pay for the increased transport costs.

There's a huge opportunity to bring life back to Sydney.
