There is no "sweeping social movement". People just want progress. The people who want police reform are one group. The people who want education reform are one group. The people who want to raise the minimum wage are one group.

But this guy prefers the current status quo. So he seems to constantly get into fights about these things with people. He assumes because they are all against him they must be working with each other. If the political system removed first past the post, these groups would all be at each others throats. But since the system crushes political opinion into a binary, they have to choose to be for progress or against it.

For example, he talks about teaching CRT, a branch of critical theory. This is advanced philosophy. No one is going to try to teach it to a kindergartener. But he deliberately confuses it with a proposed math reform to help struggling kids dealing with an overburdened public school system.
