i believe you read only the first 2 sentences, bc it goes way beyond "she wore a costume and my feelings were hurt."

she didn't wear the costume bc she wanted to and it made her happy, she literally told someone (and i overheard her say his word for word) she was doing it to "piss off the liberals"

also, i reported her to the school bc she was directly breaking the rules (the email) and making my friends uncomfortable.

multiple ppl told her not to wear it, bc it personally affects my bf and his twin (who are half-jamaican) and though only the twin ended up coming, he was very hurt by it bc it was threatening to him, and she was fighting w me about it and directly said the words "blue lives matter" in front of him. i don't think that needs an explanation.

she was aware of his views, was warned that it was very personal to him, knew that he would be offended by it, and still did it anyway... all for the sake of "pissing off the liberals"

so its not about the costume, its about blatantly disrespecting my bf and his brother when she was warned multiple times that it would be insensitive
