One of my friends said the lunches I make my husband are very “childish” and should be more “grown” but what does that mean? Are they? How can I make more “grown” lunches? Jerky or something?? He doesn’t complain about them

The most insane part of this to me is that you say your husband hates vegetables and fruit, but apparently he can stomach green olives and mustard? I feel like these would be hard passes by picky eaters, but what do I know.

Jokes aside, I do think the lunch is childish and unhealthy, however the more important thing is that it is up to your husband what goes into his body. It’s nice you pack him lunches and care about his health and taste, but this is on him and it isn’t sustainable. I also have a high metabolism and have had friends with high metabolisms who used to eat junk and stay skinny. Those who didn’t change their habits had it catch up to them eventually.

Not really your burden to make him eat healthier and you really shouldn’t have to trick him into it— but you sound like a caring spouse and that’s really cool. Good luck, I hope you can find some vegetables and proteins he likes and cut his sugar intake down.
