That one super-popular song that shouldn't be.

keep in mind, spotifys 'top played' songs are going to be the most overplayed surface tracks when it comes to big artists that have been around for a while. car commercials, movies, the radio. then the many playlists generated by spotify have many of the same songs, so the people that are more inclined to just listen to pre-made playlists are all hearing the same promoted songs over again. that being said, just because you or i don't like a particular song doesn't mean millions of others do.

you ever try to recommend Radiohead to someone who doesn't necessarily like them? "ignore the top five though, three songs are terrible early hits and another one the bands own singer doesn't like..."
