I quote I saved a while back regarding people being overly aggressive towards people who don't want to have achievements on the Switch:

Using your alcoholic comparison, let's say there is a club. These people joined the club for various reasons, none of which were alcohol. Now, the club has a bar stocked with alcohol. The people that enjoy alcohol but will obviously be impacted by it are speaking up, but the best they can get is "ignore it". They don't want to leave the club, but the alcohol is still there, within reach, without so much as a room for them to go to that's devoid of it. All they can do is not let people offer it to them but they aren't going to ignore it because they are alcoholics. They talk about what it was like before the club had alcohol, or how much better it would be if they had a place in the club where the alcohol was unavailable, but all they get in return is "that's your problem, I like alcohol, and there's nothing wrong with it".
