Online dating and social anxiety disorder

It's not like people with social anxiety disorder always have a choice. There's a difference between just having social anxiety and social anxiety disorder.

Every person has experienced social anxiety in their lifes, but social anxiety disorder...

Social anxiety disorder or aka social phobia, is a mental health condition that hinders their ability to interact on a daily basis. It's not like we're not aware of what's happening in front of us.

It's just we're afraid to be judged and in our heads, a huge wave of negative thoughts come. These thoughts keep most of our frontal cortex of the brain occupied, which leads to not being able to concentrate on the conversation.

The physical symptoms may manifest as trembling, shaking, rapid heart rate, difficulty speaking, dizziness, lightheadedness, excessive sweating. Avoidance releaves us of these symptoms.

People with social anxiety disorder have a different brain pattern than people without it. It's nothing comparable to just having a bit of social anxiety, it's an official diagnosis and mental health condition.

I do agree though that exposure and trial and error is the way to partially reduce the symptoms (my psychologist told me this too), but it always still be will be a struggle point for people having it. That is why it's considered "chronic".

Even when you consider someone as normal, there's a lot going on in a person's mind with social anxiety disorder. We often can accomplish the same thing as people without it, but we have to put in more effort to succeed.

Again, I am not trying to play the victim, because doing nothing won't bring results, I am fully aware of that. Only I can make the changes and they do require a lot of effort.

And good pictures? Understood.
