The narrators monotone voice and also the fact that I disagree with most things the people in the ad write about in their essays (even though that really shouldn't annoy me).

But to answer your question, it probably is because you've been searching for advice on your grammar, visiting education websites (a lot of them are sponsored by or have some other connection to Grammarly) or something like that.

So my advice to you is: either install an ad blocker or stop trying to learn all this shit about literature and other things concerning the English language and start using your computer for looking at cat videos and following celebrities on twitter.
