Definitely not Joker’s. It’s the opposite of a lazy final smash like Byleth’s and Min Min’s. It’s straight from Persona 5 and the attack animations are all animated, not just still images. The fighter(s) Joker attacks are all in the background, meaning what you’re actually seeing is the 3D model of the opponent getting attacked, with the lighting cut out to make them look like a 2D silhouette. The final image is definitely just a .png, but it’s special because that’s exactly what it is in P5. Also the fact that finishing the game with his final smash makes that splash screen his victory screen is really cool and a nod to P5 as well.

Yeah I think the problem with Byleth’s is that Sothis is speaking but her artwork is completely still. If they just animated lip movements, I feel like the whole “finalSmash.png” meme wouldn’t happen.
