Ontario man convicted of terror offences re-arrested, could pose public safety risk: RCMP

Were you whipped with extension chords by your abusive alcoholic parents, or maybe molested or raped by your family? Did you have to survive by eating dog food for several years? Spend winter sleeping outside in a tent to avoid becoming a victim?

It's really easy to judge others and say stuff like this when you've lived an easy life and never really known the forces of terror or oppression because you're not actually empathizing with their situations.

When you look into the lives of people like this who plot terror and who obsess over destruction, pain and suffering they are almost always victims of absurd levels of abuse, the kind of abuse that would be rejected from 99% of R rated movies for being too graphic... and these people usually become acclimated to that kind of suffering while they're children.

So yeah, this person probably does have better things to do other than plotting terror, but the barrier to their entry back into society isn't one that's blocked by themselves. In the same way an abused dog at a rescue shelter can't control that it growls and bares its teeth when it's being offered food, so too do people with this level of psychosis find it impossible to control their traumatic responses. It took years of brutal suffering to develop them that way, and it will likely take years of brutal treatments to help them develop out of it too.
