Realistically speaking though the claim isn't even that out of the ordinary or unreasonable. I started doing cheap freelance web-dev when I was 16 (or maybe 17, point is I was under-age). Technically my contracts weren't really enforceable since I wasn't 18, but given that I was broke in the middle of nowhere the risk was worth it (and it never came up anyways).

Anyways I think it was back when oDesk was still a thing, only after being accepted as the bid on an above average paying job did the client reveal that they wanted me to build them a very adult BDSM site. Although I had nothing against the content, the problem with making adult sites is that they're almost entirely useless in a portfolio and at that age I didn't want to work on something for a few months not even be able to show it.
