I opened my Razer Blade for the first time today to clean the fans and this is what I saw. Should I be concerned?

Perception - it's because Razer is a very prominent and loud brand. Issues get forwarded more frequently and their sales figures for the Blade are most certainly way higher than the GS66.

Yes, razer is a more prominent gaming company. They aren't bigger than that of msi which has been around longer if im not mistaken. Still, from what I've read here, theres been failures of these batteries in some 2019 and 2020 blades that shouldn't have failed so soon. When talking about thr gs66, it all depends on the configuration. They can get right up there with razer along with the one im getiing, the gr66 raider if you choose the high end configuration.

Cause it's 10 years old and as such also is equipped with the hardware of that time, which in terms of laptop we are talking about maybe 15W power draw.

No comparison at all. I've got a Braun face razor that's running strong since 15 years on the same battery.

A shaving razor may only have a similar battery type, but same can be said about a phone. They also use these same types of batteries. Not quite the same thing. My lenovo I think actually has a different type of battery. I'm sure the power draw is higher than that, but yes this is true. My point was, the battery in a 10 year old laptop has shown to be more reliable than whats being used today. However, the lenovo is definitely not a gaming laptop so there's that also.

All the laptops can and probably will in given time have this issue. Its due to the design. I really liked the razer laptop but I had other issues, battery wasn't one of them. They seem to have some QC issues to fix. None of them are perfect however.
