I think opening borders is a bad idea. Change my mind.

I can't make your conclusion from what you stated. I also don't know what you are trying to infer? Is the existence of poor test scores meant to be evidence that immigration is bad? Bad for who or what?

Does the existence of bad test scores in districts populated by German/Irish-Americans prove that nativism is bad? Are you trying to control for other variables? Again, I think I might stick to what the big study says rather than trying to infer conclusions from some random anecdotes from a reddit comment.

But school districts populated by Irish-Americans and German-Americans have excellent test scores, far far better test scores than overwhelmingly Latino Los Angeles Unified School District.

Cedar Rapids, Iowa school district has 81% of its kids proficient in math and 81% proficient in reading. The college readiness index is 35. LA unified school district has 22% proficient in math and and 55% proficient in reading, and the college readiness index is 20. All of this info is verifiable on US New & World Report. Look it up.

But I thought you people said that immigration is an excellent thing. How the heck does it benefit our country to have masses of people who cannot speak proper English, lack a college education, and whose kids often get pregnant at 16 and sometimes form gangs like 18th Street Gang and MS-13? This is EXACTLY why immigration is even a political issue.
