There are underdeveloped male characters, just not in superheroes. Think romance movies where the only male character is the love interest and their lives revolve around the female protagonist.

These movies are made for female audiences, that is their target market. A lot of movies have the exact same but opposite problem, all those action movies where women are just objects to stare at.

The male characters are so popular that there is less demand for the female ones. Even Wonder Woman was semi obsucre before her movie

Superheros use to attract mostly just boys and nerdy male teenagers, but geek culture has changed. The average age of comic readers has dramatically gone up. That is why we get darker more mature stories, female reader have also increased 43% of comic book readers are women. I am sure we are going to get way more female led movies, the fact that women women did better then BvS and MoS shows that female superheros are in demand.

Who has a bigger fanbase Superman or Phantom girl? Batman and Superman aren't popular because they're men. They are popular because of what they added to pop culture.

no they where made in the year 19-a-very-long-time-ago when everyone was sexist and racist and only white male superheros where given live action adaptions.

That's probably why this show was created. They couldn't get the rights to Superman so they made a Supergirl show instead.

Have you heard of the phrase "If you are truly a badass, then you don't need to tell people you are a badass"? I never said women can't be proud of their gender, I mean that female characters should never have to proclaim their gender with "Gulz Rule!" It implies that they are strong characters because they are women, not because of their actions. Again look at the Flash, as an example. Being male is completely irrelevant to the male characters. There is never a "Boy Power" moment because its unnecessary
