Opinion: Users unfairly demanding updates on DLL mods that fully predate the release of AE is entirely different from people raising valid technical questions about why authors such as Parapets appear to intentionally ignore CommonLib NG while going out of their way to release only *for* AE and VR.

How much detail do you want me to go into, David? Do you want me to write a fifteen page essay explaining line by line facts about the code that justify my point of view? Maybe I should just NGify the mods myself and upload them to Nexus making a big point in the description of "there's not really any reason the mod shouldn't have been like this out of the gate or at least shortly after release".

From my perspective almost everyone who has replied to this thread has an extreme kneejerk assumption of '[known name]' being infallible and "above the law" so to speak.

SimonMagus apparently even thinks based on a comment he made elsewhere in this thread that me pointing out the absolutely insane memory leaks in the Nemesis generator (which are still a problem today since the author of that disappeared) was somehow inappropriate when I did it a while back.

Only on /r/skyrimmods would someone suggest that people writing and releasing C++ applications for widespread use while literally not knowing how to use 'strdup' correctly was A-OK.
