I already laid out a few examples of "reasonable gun regulations" that are not in fact reasonable in another comment here:

"They're comin for mah guns!!11!" is a meme, Democrats placing unneeded and imho unconstitutional regulations happens all the time. Look at California, starting Jan 1st 2019 you'll need a background check just to buy ammo and it's unclear whether or not there'll be restrictions on the amounts you can buy within 90 day periods. Look at the proposed assault weapons ban, they're targeting firearms that are the least used in gun violence under the guise of stopping gun violence. On top of those two big ones, the Democrats were trying to strip away people on the no fly lists second amendment rights with no due process. Oh and let's not forget the firearm manufacturers lawsuit thing that the Democrats were touting during the election. If Hillary got her supreme court picks along with the other federal judges then there's a very distinct possibility that it would have been deemed constitutional and it would have made it very difficult to be in the firearm business which subsequently and substantially would have effected the average citizens ability to both buy a gun because of the limited amount of new guns as well as the price increases that fewer suppliers would have brought upon the market.

Democrats use the same tactics that anti-abortion activists use, regulate it so much that it's very difficult, if not impossible for the average person to obtain one.
