Depends on the lodge. I myself am a prod with family and friends in the lodge that I came to know growing up. The lodge some of my family were in considerd it to be more of a celebration of culture and a chrisian community but they even agree themselves many other lodges are secterian and should change their ways. I was also shown around the hall as a child and told about how the first generation of members use to hold their meetings in gaelic and some were huge Hurley players. This was sort of proven to me by the banners they would use having irish on them. Yes many lodges are secterian but I think a select few do have genuinely good people in them who consider it cultural
