Oregon decriminalized drugs in 2020: How’s it going?

I don’t feel like this city is on the right path here. I’ve been an opioid user for many years. I’m not homeless however treatment has not be an easy thing to find, last October I finally felt like it was time I did something about my addiction. I’m not someone who is comfortable in a group type therapy. Also having to stand in line daily for a dose was not going to happen. Finally after much searching and many many phone calls I found a program that I thought was a perfect fit. It’s called QuickMD. It’s all done over the phone. I called and that very same day I was given an Rx for Suboxone. I took 1 dose each morning. I felt like it was a miracle, In November, December, January February and half of March I took ZERO illegal drugs. Then when I called in for refill I was told the Dr. Assigned to this region had quit so I was unable to participate in the program until a replacement could be found. I was surprised how quickly the withdrawal set back in. It’s now April and last week I started my old routine of opioid use. I’m of the opinion that access needs to be easier to find. There is much more to this but it would be a lot to tap tap tap on mobile so I’ll leave it here for now.
