Oregon governor vows to use executive powers for climate action after Republicans flee

People on Reddit, many of which are not from Oregon and don’t have a finger on the pulse of what’s actually happening here, are outraged by this, not understanding that this is a terrible bill. It has an emphasis on climate, so we should all just love it? It’s been watered down so much. Specially interest groups and lobbyists have gotten many of Oregon’s biggest polluters exempt from the regulation. It totally favors giant corporate interests and allows them to keep polluting. Yes! Address the climate crisis, not not with a shitty bill. Work together to bring something else to the table that actually holds industry accountable. Or, as the governor said, find some compromise. We, the people, already voted this down because it was a bad bill in 2016. It’s worse now.
