Oregon posts another record high: 7,615 coronavirus cases

I don't think the majority of people consider this to be a personal moral failure (I sure as hell hope not) but do consider this an utter failure of the American government.

Between no tests, severely overworked, burned out& underpaid service workers, no sick pay, no unemployment if you're an independent contractor etc, I can completely understand why so many people feel like giving up entirely.

I do also think a portion of this mentality is passive suicidality, the mindset of "fuck it I'll just get sick and if I'm one of the people covid gets, oh well", which is also understandable. Shit is really fucking miserable right now. America is in despair.

(Side note: can we have a general strike already? Don't you just want to....force the American government by withholding labor to work for people, not corperations? It's worth a shot ¯\(ツ)/¯)
