Finally got my hands on the Orient Kamasu. To say I’m impressed would be an understatement, what an absolutely gorgeous timepiece it is. And what an incredible value! Sapphire crystal, in-house movement with hacking and hand-winding, a screw down crown, and a proper 200 meter water resistance, all for under $300. Undeniable value, and that’s not even taking the beauty of it into account.

Before quarantine I had the chance to play around with one, it was the red dial Kamasu with a steel bracelet, and even though I loved it, the bracelet left a lot to be desired. That was the main reason I bought this with a rubber strap. But to be fair, I quite like the look of nice watches sitting on rubber straps. I love how this one looks, although I’m sure I’ll be ordering something off strapcode for it in the near future.

Overall, I’m beyond impressed with the Kamasu. Comfortable, beautiful, and hopefully I’ll be enjoying it for years to come.
