It appears that you are using "is racist" as the applicable rule to delete comments using the M word. But just containing the M word to describe a criminal should not be enough to trigger the racism card. I don't think you understand what racism is. Here's my brief lesson on racism. I'll use black people in my example to avoid the sensitive trigger of the day (the M word):
Item number two is where most people struggle. It's OK to discuss this fact, it's OK to explore why this is a fact, it's actually important to discuss it so we can work as a society in fixing the problem. I don't believe that being black makes you more likely to be a criminal (i.e., I don't believe that being black causes you to be a criminal). But I do 'believe' the facts that due to social and cultural circumstances that you are born into, being born black puts you at greater risk for going down a path in your life that leads towards crime. It's not racist to address real social issues; if we stop getting offended by facts, maybe we can solve some problems in this world instead of having upvote wars and facebook-like wars.
So the shooter was a such-and-such-kind-of-some-group-of-something-or-other person. Should we discuss it or pretend it's not even a thing?
Mods, please get your ship in order. These are simple facts that you are censoring. Now it's simple WORDS that you are censoring. If we can't say the M-word or the I-word, please give us the politically correct safe-space approved word to refer to this particular descriptor. We've seen the evidence, you can't lie on the Internet and get away with it.
PS: Please don't ban me, I am optimistic that positive change can be achieved in this subreddit and I appreciate the challenge associated with moderating such a large community. Try to see both sides of the issues.
