ORM is bullshit

I think there is a good discussion to be had here. You sited a review of harvard interviewers that showed that they, on average, rated asian applicants lower on certain soft skills/tendencies. How do you know they are wrong? I believe the data shows that Asian applicants over index for high test scores GPA, and they also over index as matriculants. The data might be there, but how do we know they are being unfairly treated in the admissions process?

US medical schools have adopted at large a holistic review of applicants. They are often building classes and not picking independent students as so many seem "interchangeable". How much race gets factored into decisions is at the discretion of each school. Beyond test scores and gpa we also need to look at what the average score given to their personal statement, secondaries, LoRs, and EC experiences? I think there are a lot of additional rabbit holes to dig into that transcend the easily accessible academic stats.
