The thing is, when your head is constantly asking questions like "is this show liberal or conservative", then you inevitably shove the answer into an entirely imaginary false dichotomy you yourself created.

And you end up with delusional conclusions like this one:

This episode paints direct democracies as dangerous and extreme. Considering the growing movement amongst the left to abolish the Electoral College, I can help but find that amusing.

The episode had nothing to do with the Electoral College numb-nuts. It's removal doesn't turn the US into a "direct democracy". Second, the Electoral College's effect is to be a (pretty big) rounding error into how the outcome is calculated and nothing more.
