Yeah I'm struggling to understand why that phone exists. I'm reasonably happy with my Moto G Power, but the One Macro appears to have a lower resolution screen, smaller battery, slower processor that also eats more battery, and a plastic frame instead of aluminum, for actually more money. Why does it exist?

If you got it two weeks ago or less, you could always try complaining about image retention on the display and RMA it for a refund. You might need to insist a little, but image retention is a known issue with the IPS displays that Motorola uses (and all LGP panels) so they took me seriously when I complained about that even though it was a total lie. I ended up cancelling my RMA though before I shipped it since I felt bad and decided to own my mistake, so I can't say for certain what would have happened if they received the phone. Maybe I would have gotten my refund, maybe not. Might be worth a try if you're regretting it that much.
