Yes, the underlying claim is valid enough (but no, it’s not crazy that the “final” sequel to a series (Avengers) that started with a 600M gross would be the highest film of 2019 just as it wasn’t crazy to suggest Pirates 3 would beat Spider-Man 3. The platonic ideal of an IP is constantly overrated.

SW brand is genuinely hurt but why pretend this constitutes good evidence of it? What would a “will Cpt Marvel flop” poll like this have revealed?
