The Ottawa Valley has a racism problem. These people have been living it

And that is why you won't get my support. Do you know how many wars, murders across the whole world in the last 150 years? hundreds of millions. In Canada, someone gets murdered, they do their time and they paid their debt to society. FN issues never want the debt to be paid, people like you keep expecting an endless array of compensation of guilt. The US nuked Japan, payments have ended. Germany killed many people, payment has ended. Me or my family did not kill someone 150 years ago. You don't punish the family generations later for what one person did out of a family tree of 150. I paid with my money the land I live on, not you or anyone else. This attitude of I need to be compensated for eternity for something that happened 150 years ago is a show stopper for me. If you think I am in the minority on this opinion, you need to give your head a shake. Many Canadians have suffered, to suggest FN are the only victims is ignorance. A Syrian refugee family has suffered, 9/11 families have suffered, a random person dies in the Toronto killings a few years ago, they all have suffered. When possible, the criminal goes to court, found guilty, life goes on. We don't harp on it decades later and on a daily ask where is my compensation for the millionth time. This is why many Canadians don't have a lot of empathy for many FN issues because it never ends.
