Our cat was found 15 minutes ago laying on the street, still alive what do we do

This subreddit is so useless. You are all despicable people, and shouldn't be giving people advice on their pets.

As I said, all vets were closed. We called over a dozen of them until we found one that would be willing to take us, and even that only when we were begging them in tears. Also if it were my call and if I had a penny to my name then I would have spent all of it to save him, but I'm just a 19 year old boy between school and a job. I was angry at my mom for being so selfish about the money, until we saw the bill. It wasn't a matter of not wanting to spend the money. We simply don't own that money. We are living paycheck by paycheck and we had a combined £300 saved up on our bank accounts.

Beardy has been euthanized and buried by me, my mom and her partner. He was a loved pet, and there was nothing we, all the money in the world, or all the vets in the world could have done for him, even if we did everything perfectly, unless we kept him in the house 24/7 and never let him go outside.

The best they offered was to keep him alive on permanent fluid and oxygen therapy, and they said euthanasia is the best way to go. We were prepared for this, and we were with Beardy as his heart beat its last.

I entirely regret ever coming to this subreddit. Every single commenter has made this experience even more miserable, with NOBODY offering what THEY would have done in the situation, essentially ignoring most of what I was saying.

And of course we've learned from all this, especially me, and will make sure to have insurance on any other pets, or not have the pets at all. This was the first pet I had to bury, and I will do everything to make it the last. If you never lost a pet before time yet, I congratulate you and wish that it stays that way, and otherwise I offer you my sincere sympathies.
