Our dream one day

Yeah I believe it. We hired a lifelong contractor to work on our team and it was easily the biggest mistake I've made in my entire career. The dude is so completely socially inept that me and another dude on the team are actually looking at other job opportunities because we can't stand working with him. It's either that or we deliver an ultimatum to our boss and tell her that it's him or us.

Anyway, point is that there are still lots of folks like us. Company isn't throwing a holiday party? Fine, we did our own. Company lunches aren't a thing? Fine, we do our own.

Our company is going to hemorrhage employees when other offices start to open back up because they've shut down & gotten rid of several locations. Almost all of those people are going to leave to work for a company that has an office for them to go to. I can't blame them, if I didn't know I'd have an office to go back to I'd already be looking for another job myself.

Remote work is fine for some people, some folks even thrive. For others it sucks ass and it's borderline intolerable.
