As if kids don’t already have to deal with unwanted stuff at school, with their peers, on the streets, when parents make them do things they SPECIFICALLY do not want - they steal the only guaranteed safe place they could have growing up - home.

Stop thinking like all the kids are defacto spoiled brats. You enjoyed sitting with your parents’ friends, and I had to endure dealing with MLM morons and cultists because I grew up with my grandparents, and they didn’t take no for an answer.

I would be much happier and much more sociable, if I had experiences with better people growing up or some kind of support from my kin when I don’t wanna be as a kid dragged into some scheme involving selling pills at my school.

They died without me keeping in touch, ofc.

If a kid specifically asks you to stay out of “guests” - ffs, listen to them.
