As our first meeting approaches my partner (M29) is getting more distant

I'm meeting my girlfriend tomorrow and I feel the same way, it's a weird feeling.

The past 8 days we've only been together for 2 of them in calls. The other 6 days she's been busy twice, I've been busy once, one day she told her mother in depth about me for the first time and about picking me up at the airport, and for the past two days she's been ill. Our main problem is that we play video games or watch a movie while in a call, and if we don't do that then we don't call at all, which does make me feel disconnected and anxious. She still tells me she loves me daily, that she misses me, and says that 3 days without me is hard - but it makes me wonder why she doesn't ask me for a phone call to catch up about our day in that case.

Honestly, if we'd spent 2 out of 8 days together at any other point in our relationship I'd be sitting her down for a talk about us, but the fact it's happening in the days before we meet for the first time is just very curious. Maybe it's just me finding any reason to be anxious, I don't know.

Anyway, I digress. Your situation seems interesting. My girlfriend has always been more reserved but if your boyfriend's attitude has swung a very noticeable amount then I understand any anxiety. How is his general communication/attitude with you though? If he seems fine in general then it could easily just be some nerves. It's hard to tell without knowing a little more, but hopefully it works out for you guys.
