I just travelled with a bubs with an approved car seat. Contacted Qantas 4 times in the lead up to flying to make sure all kosher.

Had the car seat and tickets inspected at the help desk, all good.

The greety people getting on did the same thing. Strap it in, get all the kid stuff out so she has a good journey. Take our seats.

Staff member comes and now tells us our seats are not allowed to have baby seats at the bulkhead so we had to move from the bulkhead to the opposite side which is the last (and most cramped) row. So we had to take all the baby toys away, which causes a massive tantrum becuase that's what kids do when they are settled and you take their shit.

We had hands full with our luggage so had to slowly coax her to walk the entire way screaming her head off. Eventually put her on the aisle where we were told to. She didnt settle the whole flight.

Got to destination, checked Qantas website, sure enough bulkhead under our circumstances were fine, but aisle rows are not and are safety risks. It specifically says with 2 guardians 1 should be either side too.

So they made up bullshit after 6 previous checks (4 prior 2 there) to make an inconvenient safety risk.

Fuck Qantas.
