Our new toy we just got two of!

Ya our AUs were purchased 8 years ago when our sample volume was so much lower. We exceeded the designed sample volume 5 years ago and have since tripled it. Our turn around times are abysmal to the point that we no longer load stat samples on the automation line. We also have a very old Beckman power processor automation line that is also insanely overburdened. It's just falling apart. I frequently use paper clips as belt tensioners and duct tape to fix everything else. I do anything I can think of just to make it function through the shift until service can show up. At this point service might as well just set up camp in our lab. They are there 3 to 4 times a week.
