[out of context Everton] Coleman calls Maguire a "fucking diving twat".

I know that football is a divisive game, but stoking up the flames is not what I would personally recommend - do not try to defend individual players in controversial situations they may get themselves in, but instead focus on promotive the positive side of the Everton image - if the club gets a negative reputation because of their fans' involvement in avoidable situations, it may alienate people from supporting the club - that's why it's important to rehabilitate the Everton image if it ever gets put in a place of jeopardy.

Players come and go, but it's the club you support that matters, and it's important to let the cooler head prevail, because looking back at this years later, there is a possibility of realization that the comments which are condemning the actions of the players are prevalent, therefore associating the club with a more despised image. In that case I'd personally be more inclined to let it go, maybe even apologize and optionally offer a reconciliatory outreach to the opposing fans, and focus on instances where your club is excelling. I know Everton is a great club and I support it for many reasons, but alas, not for the reasons like one of these.
