Look out for trolls and scams! There seem to have been so many lately.

Just a few extra random thoughts/points, some from experience/witnessing behaviour;

When being raided don't click on any links - Strawpolls asking what games to play etc, since they are probably IP grabbers.

Don't add random people on Skype, Steam etc (make a Steam group) - Again IP resolving is fairly easy

If you don't give them any information to work with, they're harmless. They only want your info or IP, so if you don't give it them they will just move along. Also, act bored/like you don't give a shit, they will also move on (it doesn't make for a very good YouTube video if the 'victim' looks emotionless).

If you do song requests, check the link before playing it (if it's shorter than the usual song, unlisted, has a small amount of views of its a large song, is quieter than usual, has a still/incorrect image, sounds wrong etc, just skip it. You could also just read the description/title/comments; if they say 'perfect for Twitch raids' it's usually best to skip it). - Random thought because not everyone does song requests and most will turn it off if they are being raided.

If you do decide to click links (only links such as YouTube/imbue advisable), check the URL carefully (Strawpoll with two 'i's instead of 'l's is a screamer, as is agar with an 'o').

Practice good online safety - keep info hidden, use alias', etc etc.

I've seen how they operate by stalking their websites, Facebook pages, tinychats, YouTube pages for raids etc - it's worrying, especially when they sometimes consider swatting and the extent they are willing to go to to troll people. I've noticed they tend to troll kids (playing games such as Minecraft, Roblox, Rust etc), since they are naive, but it can happen to anyone, and especially since some older people produce 'funny reactions' when provoked.
