Could the lawyers/Constitutional Law Experts of /r/India please break it down in a ELI5 version what the bill proposes?
I did search for PRS or several other legal policy experts views on this
having said that, it is been a recurring pattern with this government of completely bypassing prudence and consulting with people who have spent their entire lives on it
I've heard people call this bill unconstitutional
well, the preamble of the constitution has the word secular in it. It means there is no order of preference to religion when it come to the law
This bill obviously doesn't say shit about those illegal immigrants who belong to Islam or are otherwise called 'Muslims'. What about them? What would happen to Muslim Illegal Immigrants?
so it's unconstitutional...let's face the BJP government doesn't give a fuck about the due process
persecution, prob. forced to migrate to Neighboring countries who are already under stress (Bangladesh, Pakistan) which means not being wanted by either side
