Out on f curiosity, how many of you were terrified of ravenholm when they first played it and whenever they would replay it?

Damn, almost two decades ago I played that chapter at my friend's house after he insisted I stop playing halo 2 (which had just come out) immediately and come over to check out another new game with a weird name. I remember feeling kind of annoyed by having to quit playing Halo, but I got on my bike and headed over.

I didn't really feel spooked or anything, but I was in complete awe of the graphics and how incredible it was flinging props around instead of using a gun to take down zombies. Grigori's traps and their physics, the elevator part right after you get the shotgun, all incredible.

I ended up begging my mom to buy the game for our crappy Gateway PC. Ever since then I was primarily a PC gamer and that experience was, ultimately, the catalyst that got me interested in computers and IT work.

My favorite game was Gmod, played religiously from 2005 until 2013 (I still boot it up maybe twice a month!). I'm still friends with some of the people I met on Gmod during that time, and consider them to be some of my closest friends. Best, even.

Thanks for making me quit Halo 2, Forrest lmao
