That being said, nature and outdoor recreation outlets through this pandemic have proven to be some of the worst offenders in borderline false information. I've seen enough emotionally charged articles and misrepresentations of regulations from outdoor socialites that I've become disenfranchised with many of the reporters and brands that I've highly respected.

The CAIC has been fantastic throughout the stay at home order. Their Backcountry Recreation Message is how every communication should be handled. While it may be less personally satisfying than commanding what to do, it's certainly deterred folks in my social circles from tackling more consequential terrain.
