Is the over 100g protein requirment a myth?

Maintaining a 70lb loss for nine years. Weight range 122-132 in this period. Been running 800 miles or more/ year (try to run minimum 20 - 30 miles/ week) and have been lifting (heavy full-body) 2-3x week, consistently every year.

I eliminated all animal products and processed foods and most fat from my diet (whole food plant based - not vegan) this past November. Training wise? I am still lifting as heavy or more and running as fast or faster (I train for overall health, nothing more). Recovery time is excellent, better.

I used to aim for at least 120grams of protein....

Ive dropped looking at macros and calories. Focus on eating as whole and unprocessed as possible and feel better, stronger, with greens everyday.

Interestingly too, for the first time in my life I’ve now got an “off switch” when I eat and no longer have a sweet tooth. I think it’s because of all the fiber I consume. Bloating is also a non-issue now.

Keep eating them chickpeas and google “protein myth”.
