The man who did my breasts and FFS is a cis gay man (Dr. Satterwhite).

Whenever I start to feel that degradation from the cis gay/lesbian communities, I think of him. He’s devoted his life and profession to helping make us whole. There’s others like him too.

Yes, there’s a lot of transphobia in the LG community. It’s not absolute and often times it’s a small contingent of loud mouthed babies who try to drive us out.

As to trans people being transphobic - it happens. In every. Single. Group.

Sometimes it’s pitiable - the amount of internalized transmisogyny and transmisandry that society drowns us in. Other times it is enraging and saddening.

The best you can do, being trans in the community, is to give yourself the grace to endure. Sometimes you will have an opportunity to help someone understand.
