Is overdose rare in younger people?

This isn't stim related but mixing booze with the opposite of stims. If you're partying mixing uppers with booze it's not a bad idea to give you an idea of how downers and booze go as well.

On my 16th birthday I popped 8mg Xanax on the bus to school and drank a half bottle of straight vodka on the bus and finished it during recess (11am if I remember correctly, good chance I'm wrong) and the day is blank from about 11.30am until about the same time the next day when I woke surrounded by my family in a hospital bed. According to my parents I got home from school the previous day around 4.30pm as usual, barely made it to my bed and passed the fuck out. Parents, sister and paramedics couldn't wake me and I didn't even make a noise let alone move a muscle until shortly after midnight at the hospital, when I made a weird noise no one could understand, then I slightly moved my arm and fell asleep again.

Woke up at roughly 11.30am in the hospital bed and slurred the words "What the fuck" and started slowly trying to piece together the last 24 hours. Ended up managing to ask my parents why I'm in hospital and why can't I remember anything and they just started crying and said they thought I was going to die. It took me a week of asking people from school what happened that day to be able to incredibly vaguely remember and I still to this day can't remember over half of what I had done, why, when, how etc. Somehow I wasn't sent home, suspended or expelled during the fucking chaos I have been told I caused on the day I found out benzos and alcohol don't mix. My friends still refer to it as legendary which was fine at first until I researched the dangers of mixing that amount of alcohol with that amount of benzos, especially considering I'd never taken a benzo before and had only stolen the odd sip of my parents wine while they weren't looking months ago.

So yeah if you needed any further reason not to mix booze and benzos, there's a pretty good reason I think. I assume everyone knows not to mix them but a real story can't go astray either.eeeeeeee
