There’s a book by the same author as Fight Club about a nihilistic hippie guy who is adamant about being barefoot (like Brian) that Brian posted about called Lullaby. He emulated the character all the way down to making multiple posts about how he only ate out of mango shells. He posted about the book on his IG, and supposedly posted a picture of a copy of Fight Club as well.

I haven’t verified if he posted a copy but I think it’s safe to say he found Lullaby through his exposure to Fight Club, which is still the authors most popular work by far and has an enduring legacy as every pseudo intellectual frat bro’s favorite movie. It’s not a bad movie but its very popular among pretentious young men because it’s all about how society just doesn’t understand them.
