overprotective parents. please help.

if you want some honest advice, the lies will only help you out for a limited time, speaking from personal experience. When your parents find out they’re going to lose absolutely any bit of trust they have in you which as I can see it’s not much because you’re 17!!!!

I would use the excuse of moving out for college after you graduate from high school. I’m not quite sure if they’ll let you, but you could argue that you’ll be chasing your dreams and goals, they simply just can’t stop you from getting your education!!!

As for the girlfriend part, females nowadays, need a lot of attention, a lot of time spent together, and so so so much effort. If they don’t get that 10/10 they’ll cheat on you. Mind you, as a female I see this happen all the time.

Try to speak to whichever parent is more understanding, approach them in a peaceful way, and let them know how you feel see if that works. If not DM I’ll be glad to help out!
