Overseas Kiwis: ‘We’re forgotten until the election’

Sorry, what? You decided to move overseas then cry about not feeling part of the country? You can't eat your cake and have it too.

Some New Zealanders rushed home, or ended their visas early, back in March. But many living in Australia, the United Kingdom, the Americas, and in other parts of the globe didn’t have the choice to walk away from expensive leases and jobs to the unknown future of no job, and no house, back home in New Zealand.

AFAIC if you leave NZ to live overseas you've stopped being a part of the country. Honestly couldn't care less for people being upset over shit like this. Oh, and yes, you should have to pay for the isolation costs should you choose to come home. You don't get to move overseas for more money then refuse to pay to be isolated because you decided you want to move back home.
