Overweight since 8 years old. I'm tired of it

I read this post like it was myself writing it 115 lbs or 7 months ago. I was in a place exactly like you. I am no dietitian, but I can tell you what I did, and maybe it can inspire you in some way. I have lost 115 lbs in 7 months by doing what can be read below.

My food intake is around 1200 calories a day. Most of the food I eat contains, but is not limited to:

  • Chicken
  • Salmon
  • Asparagus
  • Lettuce
  • Cucumber
  • Cauliflower
  • Broccoli
  • Mushrooms
  • Tomatoes
  • Avocado
  • Grapefruit
  • Bananas
  • Skyr

A typical day for me can be:

  • Breakfast: 1 Banana, 1 Grapefruit, 200 grams of Skyr (~320 calories)
  • Lunch: 200 grams of chicken breast and roughly a whole plate of low calorie vegetables (~300 calories)
  • Dinner: 200 grams of salmon fillet and again a whole plate of low calorie vegetables (~600 calories)

I cut out the following things completely: Processed meat, pasta, rice, potatoes, sugar, candy, chocolate, cake, soda, chips, pizza, burgers or any other fast food junk. And I try to keep high carbohydrate stuff like dairy, lenses and beans to a minimum. This is written on top of my head, so I might have left out some things.

This might sound very boring, but in a few months you're going to get used to it, and you will learn how to make delicious food within those limitations.

For exercise I started off buying an indoor bicycle, and pushed myself to ride it for 30 minutes EVERY day except weekends. To start with, this is also going to be tough, but once you've done it every day for a month, it's going to become easier and easier every day. You are going to feel so much better. It's no secret that being overweight is not exactly a motivating factor for going to the gym - ironically enough. By having the opportunity to exercise at home, you can completely ignore the world around you and focus on yourself. After a few months, I just started hitting the gym instead because I gained a lot more confidence from my results.

The support and compliments you're going to get from the people around you is going to give you so much motivation, that it's going to be hard to stop. The first month or two is going to be the hardest. From there on you will be addicted to your new lifestyle.
