I should’ve mentioned it in the post, he frequently brings in a can of sparkling water to work and empties it into a packaging container used for the deli counter. however, I see him drinking from the original can of “water” that he brought in. he also purchases a 4 pack of beer before or during his shift (my job has a beer section) and puts it in the walk in cooler in a bag, as if he was keeping it cold for after his shift. the thing that really confirmed it for me was the fact that by the end of his shift there’s usually a really light trash bag with misc trash that he leaves sitting in the walk in cooler by the exit (so he can discard the evidence before he leaves I guess) and yesterday he left the bag over night and this morning I looked at it to see why else it would be there, and I saw two empty cans of the high % beer that he buys in the bag. Also, a few months ago he had his can of “water” sitting in a bin where we keep employee drinks and it got knocked over and it was obviously beer that spilled from it. I ignored the spill and he was quick to clean it up and try to hide the evidence.
